19 01 2018Call for applications Rijksakademie residency 2019The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten is an international residency program based in Amsterdam. During their two years’ residency, emerging professional artists are stimulated to reflect critically on their work and break new ground. They are offered artistic, theoretical and technical support within a well-equipped working environment. Resident artists work in an individual studio surrounded by approximately 45 peers from all over the world. Ongoing dialogues take placewith a group of prominent artists, theoreticians and professionals from other disciplines, who are connected to the Rijksakademie as advisors. Furthermore, there is a theory workshop offering a specialized art library and (historical) collections. Selected artists usually have finished a BA/MA education and have a few years of independent professional practice before starting a residency More information and application
